    Rev. Ann-Henley Nicholson
    Vice President for Enrollment Management and Vocational Outreach

    Ann-Henley grew up worshipping in the pews at Sec­ond Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, Virginia. She didn't imagine then that she'd later ex­perience a call to ministry, yet God is always faithful and often full of surprises. After graduating from the University of Virginia, she pursued her passion for theatre in New York before heading to Princeton Seminary to follow her call to ministry. Upon graduating, she served First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta before returning to Princeton Seminary to become their Director of Alumni Relations. Now she serves as the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Vocational Outreach at Columbia Seminary, where she enjoys identifying the next generation of pastoral leaders and witnessing every day that the Church is far from dying, given all those God continues to call to ministry in many varied forms.

    Rev. Courtney Anne Henry
    Vocational Outreach Associate

    Courtney Anne has called the peach state of Georgia home for her entire life. A cradle Presbyterian, Courtney Anne grew up here in the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta and knew she was called to ministry as a teenager. She earned two bachelors degrees from Georgia College in sociology and liberal studies and afterwards called Columbia home for seminary. She graduated in 2024 with a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Practical Theology with Honors. Courtney Anne’s calling is focused on working with people as they discover their sense of self and belonging while making meaning in their everyday, ordinary lives, through spirituality, creativity, and play which shows up in her work as a Chaplain for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and a Vocational Outreach Associate for CTS. When not working, she can be found enjoying local coffee shops, quilting, buying too many books at independent bookstores, and adding to her always overflowing stash of art supplies.

     

    Rev. Matt Rich
    Senior Director of Admissions & Enrollment Operations

    A love for the transformational possibilities in theological education and his own seminary experience led Matt from congregational ministry to Columbia in 2011. As a do-it-all admissions professional, Matt enjoys both the technical side of day-to-day operations and being a pastoral presence for colleagues and prospective students. With roots in the Baptist churches of North Alabama and South Tennessee, Matt studied Religion, Congregational Studies, and Classics at Samford University before completing his MDiv at Emory University's Candler School of Theology. Matt loves nature photography, gadgets, and is an armchair meteorologist. His days at home are full of outside play, reading, and making music with his wife Deedra and their two young daughters.

    Dr. Tammy Lane
    Director of Student Financial Services

    Dr. Tammy Lane has spent the past twelve years managing financial aid at various academic institutions, most recently as Associate Director of Financial Aid and Admissions at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology. Before her time at Candler, Dr. Lane supported students through their recruitment, admissions, and financial aid processes at Prairie View A&M University, where she also earned her doctorate in educational leadership.  Dr. Lane earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education at Kennesaw State University and a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from Kaplan University.  Her research focuses on DEI concerns pertaining to women and men of color in academia, LGBTQ+ students, and financial access.

     

    Ms. Sarah Bumgarner

    Sarah is a lifelong Presbyterian, growing up as a PK (preacher’s kid) in churches throughout North Carolina and Southwest Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Christian Education from Presbyterian College in 2012 and a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Columbia in 2018. After a decade serving Atlanta-area churches in children’s ministry, Sarah recently returned to Columbia as a Connector. She relishes the opportunity to continue serving in ministry and connecting with others while also devoting more time to her family as a full-time mom. Sarah adores her husband Robert, whom she met while at Presbyterian College, and their two little girls. As a former student at Columbia, Sarah experienced first-hand this warm, engaging, and diverse place and hopes to use that to support new students in their own seminary journey.
